Black-Eyed Pinson

Mary Pinson had a rough time one day last week. It started that morning. We were outside watering the flowers and she fell down twice!! She busted her lip a little and scratched one eye. Then later that afternoon Perrin decided that she wanted the toy in Mary Pinson's hand so she did what any 3 year old sister would do... she took it and ran!!! As she ran, Mary Pinson fell down and hit the corner of the little kid table in our kitchen and got a black eye!!! She does look pitiful in this picture but she sure did enjoy that popscile (that is why she looks filthy!).

This picture was taken a few days later... So as you can see she recovered nicely. She was back to her sweet smiling self.

Updated Finally!!!

Well I know that it has been a while since I have updated!!! So I am trying to catch up. I have decided that I will try to update weekly. Now... I did say TRY!!! ha ha ha. We have been in Georgia for a month now. We have had ups and downs since we have been here. The girls have adjusted well. Perrin does seem to get bored more often. She got so used to having a lot to do in Grenada. She will be starting dance and gym class next week. We have also gotten a library card and have been a couple of times to check out some books. She really likes to do that.
Mary Pinson had a really easy adjustment... she really had no idea!! ha ha.. She however decided to cut about 6 teeth the first couple of weeks here. She now has all four molars and is now cutting two more!!! Mary Pinson has started to really try and communicate with us. She is pointing to things that she wants and grunting or taking our hand and leading us to what she wants. The church is going well. We are getting used to them and they are getting used to us. It is beautiful here. The mountains are gorgeous and there is so much to do. Kevin's parents came to visit this past weekend. That was fun. The girls had a good time. We are going to Grenada this Thursday for labor day. We are very excited about that... It seems like it has been an eternity since we have been there. I will try to be faithful to update weekly so you can see and read about what is going on here in Georgia!!! Thanks for looking at our blog!!!

Eating Popscicles and Swimming!!

Gabby bought Perrin and Mary Pinson a blow up swimming pool to have in Georgia. Well they have LOVED it. Life in Georgia has been much slower than in Grenada. We don't know many people and Perrin was getting pretty bored. We have some friends that we went to seminary with who have 4 children that live here in Dalton. So we called them over and they all went swimming. Perrin had a blast playing with them. She has so much fun when they get to play.

At one point we looked out the window and the kids were jumping off of a chair into the pool!!

Mary Pinson loves to eat popscicles now. She makes a really big mess and has a ball doing it!!!

The Tennessee Aquarium

We went on our first family "outing" to the aquarium. There is so much to do here that we decided we wanted to take advantage and go on some Jackson family "outings." Our first choice was the aquarium in Chattanooga. The girls wore themselves out and slept on the way home!!

We were sitting in a rock that was cut out and had glass all around. Mary Pinson was looking up at some fish!!

Perrin looking at a shark!!

Mary Pinson was kicked back most of the time looking at all the exhibits!!

We saw the penguins first. They were really neat. We got to watch them being fed. The girls thought they were cool!!

Daddy and girls getting ready to go inside!!

Mary Pinson Turns One!!!!!!!!!!!

I cannot believe that Mary Pinson is one! We had a little swimming party for her at Glenn and Billie's for her first birthday. Of course she loved the cake.

These rocks are not as good as that cake was!!!

Water Park! Water Park!

In July we went to a water park. Abbi and Noah came to play one day. They had a blast swimming and playing on the slides. Gabby, Heather, Beck Beck, and Kate also came along for some fun!!!

Flower Girl

Perrin was in Jessica Hill's wedding this summer. She looked like an angel. It was a lot of fun. She got to go to the bridesmaid's luncheon, get her hair done, and dance at the reception.

The Girls Love to Take Baths!!

Perrin and Mary Pinson love to take their bath. Our new house is two stories and when we say ok girls it is time for a bath, Mary Pinson says "ba ba" and runs to the stairs!!! We have to put plugs in her ears because she got tubes put in in July... She is not too crazy about them but she leaves them in!

Soccer Camp

Before we moved this summer Perrin attended a soccer camp in Grenada!!! It was quite funny. She really did like it... Although I am not quite sure how much soccer she actually learned!! HA

Major Changes!!!!

This summer our family went through one of its biggest changes to date!!! We moved to Dalton, Georgia!!! We arrived in Dalton on July 23 and the movers brought our things on July 24. Kevin accepted a call to pastor Dug Gap Baptist Church. Dug Gap is the name of the mountain and road where the church is located.

Vacation Bible School!!!!!!!!

Vacation Bible School was a lot of fun this year. I helped teach the three year old class!! We had about 18 three year olds each day!!!!!! WOW!!! It was a lot of fun... Perrin and Mary Pinson are still listening to the cd and singing along.

Summer Swimming Fun!!!

Perrin loves to swim. Whether it is in her little pools or at Mr. Glenn and Mrs. Billie's pool, she loves to splash and play. Shortly after we moved to Georgia we went swimming with a family from the church and the kids got Perrin to jump off the side all by herself!! This was a huge thing for her. At the beginning of the summer she would not even jump off holding our hand!!! Amazing what children will do when they have a little peer coaching!!! ha ha

Little Mermaid

Perrin got to be in the Spring Visions show in May. She still talks about it today!!! We told her if she smiled really big we would get her a prize!! When walking on the stage, she all of a sudden got a huge smile on her face... HILARIOUS. I just knew that thought of a prize went through her little brain!! She had so much fun.

My First Biter Biscuit

This was Mary Pinson's first biter biscuit!! She loved it... but as you can see she made a really BIG mess every time she ate one!!! We had to be very careful when she would eat one because she would often choke on the last little part!!

Sleeping Angels

Sweet sleeping angels!!! Perrin has always loved her bear... She has to have him wrapped up (swaddled) just like we did her and Mary Pinson. She started asking for him to be wrapped up when Mary Pinson was tiny, but she still wants him wrapped up every time she goes to sleep!!!
